Natural Keratin Treatment - Instructions
| |
|
Keratin
Complex Smoothing Therapy by Copolla.
The
Keratin Complex Smoothing System infuses keratin deep
into the hair cuticle eliminating up to ninety-five percent
of the frizz and curl from the hair, leaving the hair
soft, shiny and luxurious. “It’s all about
the natural keratin,” says Coppola. “We
are able to achieve these results without the formaldehyde
in the Brazilian product."

STEP
1: PREPARATION |
| Shake bottle well. Pour 2-3
oz into bowl and let sit for 10-15 minutes as client gets
shampooed with Clarifying
Shampoo. |
• |
Pour 2 ounces for shoulder length hair. |
• |
Pour 3 ounces or more for longer hair. Do
not pour solution back into the bottle after application
is completed. Discard left-over product. |
| |
| CLARIFYING
SHAMPOO DIRECTIONS: |
• |
Shampoo once if you have 70% or more highlights. |
• |
Shampoo twice for single process color and
50% or less highlighted hair. |
• |
Shampoo three times if you have virgin,
course, resistant or grey hair. |
| |
| STEP
2: BLOW-DRY |
• |
Use medium to high heat setting, blow dry
hair to 100% dry. |
|
| STEP
3: APPLICATION |
| You
are now ready to apply the Keratin Complex Natural Keratin
Smoothing Treatment by Coppola |
• |
Section hair into three or four parts. |
• |
Gloves should be worn during this step. |
• |
Starting at the nape area, part the hair
into 1/2” to 1” sections. |
• |
Using a tint brush, apply the solution away
from the face, from the scalp to ends. |
• |
Comb hair away from the face with a fine
tooth comb ensuring the solution is evenly distributed. |
| |
| Tip:
|
| Do
not over-saturate! If over-saturation occurs, the hair
will appear greasy, flaky and heavy. This will make it
harder to blow dry and flat iron. Excess solution should
be wiped onto a towel. |
| |
• |
Place plastic cap over hair allowing it
to sit for twenty minutes. |
• |
For very resistant, course hair, let sit
for thirty minutes. |
| This will allow the treatment
to remain moist while penetrating the hair cuticle. Do
not rinse. |
| |
| STEP
4: POST APPLICATION & BLOW DRY |
• |
After removing cap, comb through the hair
to ensure even coverage. |
• |
If comb is filled with product, wipe it
off onto a towel. |
• |
Using medium/hot setting, blow dry hair
with paddle or vent brush 100% dry. Must be dried 100%
before ironing. |
| |
| STEP
5: FINAL STEP – FLAT IRON |
| You are now at the most important
phase of the therapy system. Using our recommended Croc
Titanium Iron,
adjust temperatures accordingly. |
| |
• |
Using a heat resistant comb, part hair into
3 or 4 sections according to preferred style. |
• |
Starting at the nape area, using 1/8”
sections, not unlike a highlight strand, pass flat iron
from root to ends. |
• |
For damaged, double processed bleach blondes,
set iron at 400°-410°. Pass iron over each section
5–7 times. |
• |
For single processed or 50% or less highlighted,
grey or fine hair, set iron at 420°-430°. Pass
iron over each section 7–10 times. |
• |
For virgin, course or resistant hair set
iron at 440°-450°. Pass iron over each section
10–12 times. |
• |
Always have your comb in front of the flat
iron. If the ends of the hair are severely damaged or
split, cautiously go over the ends fewer times with the
flat iron to prevent further damage. |
• |
Use your flat iron to style hair and add
height. |
• |
Always complete your service with a light
dusting. |
| |
| AFTER
CARE |
• |
Do not shampoo hair for 3 days (72 hours). |
• |
Avoid getting any moisture into hair. If
hair gets wet, blow dry immediately and go over lightly
with a flat iron on low heat setting. |
• |
Wear hair down. Do not use pins, clips,
ponytail holders or sunglasses to hold back hair. |
